Consumer Protection Advice

As you can imagine with the Digital Switchover looming, the amount of Rogue Traders operating is rising.

Always ensure the Company you are dealing with are:-

  • CAI OR RDI-LB Registered (don't be afraid to verify their membership number with either body, this can be found on their ID Card)

  • Insist on a written detailed quotation (before the job starts).

  • Check the quality of the materials being used (look for the CAI logo or Digital Tick especially on the Aerial and Cable used)

  • Always test the picture quality (try several Channels) after the job is done.

  • Insist on an invoice detailing the work carried out and materials used with business contact details and guarantee.

  • Avoid paying cash as this is rogue traders preferred method.
